Had George Push, Mike Striffler, Brian Arrabito and Bob Schlink aboard for today's FTYP trip.
Ran to some snags S and E of the inlet. Started off fishing the edges of some rubble in 75'. Had an immediate bite with a few shorts, and 4 nice keepers going in the box in the first 2 short drifts. Ran back, did it again a few more times, added one more to the box and some more shorts.
We then ran further south, and fished around a wreck, only caught 2 shorts, then returned to the same numbers where we had the solid bite on Monday. Got a slowish pick going, a lot more shorts, but boxed a keeper here and there.
Once that dried up, we ran back north, did 2 more drops on a wreck and on some rubble, and managed one more keeper. Finished the day fishing E of the inlet on the edges of a wreck and put some more shorts in the boat, but dropped a few nice fish.
Fish bit weird today. Seemed like when the S breeze started blowing a bit the bite shut off, and once it backed off, we started catching again. Also, it seemed all of the shorts were no doubters today in the 13-16" range, and all of the keepers except for one were over 19".
Wound up OK with ~50 fluke in the boat and 11 keepers to just under 5#, as well as 2 nice seabass. We had 4 fluke in the 3-5# range in the box, the rest were 18-20".
(Pic below is of Mike, George, Bob, and Brian holding 8 of the nicer fish.)
