Kayak1's seminar a great success.
« on: August 07, 2009, 01:15:38 AM »
Hi All,

Well I have to say it was one of the better seminars I have attended in a long time.  Dave Kayak1 along with Fisherman's Supply in Point Pleasant Beach put on a great show this evening.

Dave's 15 years of fishing from a kayak really showed up as his seminar had everyone mulling over questions and solutions to simple to technical problems of fishing out of a kayak in all kinds of weather.

I for one came away with a great respect for him as there are a number of things I will be changing on my kayak to make it a safer platform in which to fish from.

The kayak stuff was great but when he got into fishing stories and lure choices I think everyone in the room came to life and went away with new found ammunition to take to the water and try.

Dave, a job well done... t^ t^ t^ grtn

To all those that were there I hope to see many of you on our site here.  Thanks for letting me get the plug in for NJ Saltwater Fisherman and just jump right in we are a friendly bunch of guys and gals.

There is one thing I for got to bring and I apologize was the camera.  I am sure this will not be Dave's last seminar.  If you have the opportunity to make another by all means make the effort ti is well worth it.

Happy Catching

Paul

Great job Dave!

I can certainly tell from his posts that he knows his stuff.  He seems to be extremely safety oriented as well, which is a great thing.  He knows how to fish and catch too.  I don't kayak fish, but I have learned a lot of general fishing tactics from his posts.  I am sure his seminar was FANTASTIC.

Kayak1, you are a great asset to NJSWF and the fishing community in general.  Keep up the great work.  I was not available last night, but hopefully, I will be able to attend one of your future seminars.

Picked up a Hobie Outback with the mirage drive a few weeks ago and am happy with it. Been fluking in the Manasquan and N. barnegat bay. Lots of fluke but only 1 keeper. Check them out lots of fun and a good workout too  t^
