Trolling Monster Ledge and The Glory Hole 8/15
« on: August 16, 2009, 09:54:05 PM »
Headed out at 5am what a great ride to Monster Ledge saw a whale and decided to start trolling by the time i got my spread out of ceder plugs daisey chain 2 spreader bars a couple jet heads there were about 30 dolphin around the boat just following us and going under the boat it nice blue clear water but no takers shot out to the glory hole and found some bait set out the spread and hooked up right away with a mahi mahi set out and didn't have a bite for hours headed back to monster ledge around 11:30 and trolled 1 more mahi and a skip jack also had one nice knock down on the long rigger but didn't hook it.Decided to pull up to some pots and cast some lures for some mahi most pots had fish under them but they just followed the lures but had no takers. All in all it was an awesome day to be on the water i have never seen so many whales and dolphin out there before like today.Sat 8/15
