Pilot whale dies after washing ashore in NJThe Associated Press
PERTH AMBOY, N.J. - Officials are planning a necropsy to try to determine why a 15-foot pilot whale that washed ashore in Perth Amboy died.
The whale was seen roaming Raritan Bay and Raritan River on Monday.
Perth Amboy Fire Chief David Volk says four people helped push the whale back into the water after it became stranded on a sand bar.
The mammal beached itself again along the shorefront.
Bob Schoelkopf of the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine says the whale died around 1 a.m. Tuesday as rescuers arrived at the scene.

That really stinks!  Hopefully, it died of natural causes and not something we, humans caused.  I thought it was probably sick or injured for it to beach itself in the Raritan like that.  Just mother nature's way.
