Had an Open Boat Fluke Trip today... Crew Consisted Of Willie Aka Reelerin, Pat And Pat Jr Stripped Bass, Matt Avid Joe Jigs and Mr Hot Hand Cool hand Al.
Headed out and setup the drift around the grizzle... seemed Like perfect Conditions except for the lack of Bites... Bounced around and finally got a pick going with a few Nice size fish a drift...
Matt avid then Hooks a nice one 29 1/2 In 9 lb 13oz fish Just missed his 10lber but whos complaining
Cont to to bounce pick pluck around and the cooler started Getting some nice fish in it but the drift was getting fast... Stayed until we Didnt get Bites and the drift got too fast...
Headed inshore and the fish were hungry but the drift was no flying and it was getting very tough on the tackle But we were putting a few nice fish in the boat every drift...
Just Kept getting faster and faster and Blowing hared outa the south... Conditions just got to rough to the point of brutal... Stopped on the beach a couple times but just shorts and a bumpy ride back!
CONGRATS TO MATT Who had his limit By 11:30 including the 9lber and 6 1/2 lber, He is on fire putting on his limit clinic every time aboard with us 4 or 5 Limits in a row... asked Him to buy lottery tickets for us. Al Coolhand Also Had his limit also his 4 or 5 in a row also on some roll... Jig Joe Recovered from last week and Finally got a limit on the Monger Pat Pat Jr and Willie Stuck with it and Each put a few good ones In the Box...
By days End we Wound up with 29 Keeper Fluke To 9lbs 13 oz and a couple seabass... Def tougher Bite and Conditions today but we managed To grind out a nice cooler and Big bags o fillets.
