Hoping to head down there today.  Not sure if I'll hit the park or Ortly.  Just going to the sightseeing, no fishing today.

Hi Guys,

I was over at Ortley this morning and the lifeguards were ridiculous.  They were were chasing everyone off the boardwalk bridge leading over the dunes, unless you had a beach badge.  I don't think that constitutes a right by them to do that and as a taxpayer of this town I was insulted that what I pay for in taxes can not be used by me or others as a matter of fact.

I felt sorry for an elder gentleman I would say in his late 70's or early 80's that walked over from his home sipping his morning cup of coffee dressed nicely, was asked to leave.  I officially moved here in 67 and my parents had a house here since 1960.  They followed their friends who had a house in 1950.  So I have seen a lot of changes but this type of change is not healthy.  They talk about a revolution coming well I can feel the change in the air, and it is not good.

To much taxes and to much taking away of freedoms, not good.  I e-mailed my Councilman to express my opinion I will let you know if or if not I get a response.  I hope I am not pushed around like the state usually does.

Bureaucratic BS in the highest degree.

Okay finished venting for now.  Pictures to follow later.  Yes I got my pictures after the discussion period with other residence of Toms River.   nosmly 5hrug ??? >:(

Happy Catching

Restrictions lifted around noon.  As of 3Pm the entire beach was open to trucks.
That will probably change for this evening's high tide again.
South of A23 the high water mark was up in the dunes and there were tidal pools left from the AM high.
I have a couple pics I'll pic up later.  Surf wasn't as rough or high as they predicted yet, but the rip currents were definitely there.
