Looks like the last Fluke trip this season for us. Tom and I left our slip at 7:00 AM this morning having tried to find some bait around the Atlantic Highlands Harbor, due to the wind blowing from the Northeast the harbor was rough making it difficult to find some p'nuts. Hoping to find a couple of Sea Robins for bait we tried the Southeast corner of Sandy Hook Bay. Making our way out to the channels there were plenty of robins to make bait while we avoided the fleet in front of the Ammo Pier. Just East of #13 Sandy Hook Channel Tom landed a 24½" 6 pound Fluke and shortly thereafter I landed a fat 20½" Fluke. That was it among the many shorts and birds we caught heading back in about noon.
