Welcome kmart.

Sure there is a chance. Even if the striped run isn't alive. There always those that hang around all year.  From what i understand t^

clam on a high low rig.

Let us know how you make out

There is always a chance, especially with the NE Blow and rough surf we have had.  Look for rips, holes, etc...and broken clam shells.  If the hi-lo rig doesn't work for you try switching it up to a fishfinder.

Good luck, enjoy and be careful.  The surf is still kind of nasty!

Heading to the Hook this coming Friday.
Maybe just maybe get into something,
throwing clams .
Plugs and metal for something to do.
I have a hand full of fresh made swimmers
 to test.

Welcome grtn!  Sounds like a great plan.  Good luck, the summer is over tomorrow for the tourists and the locals will take over...hopefully with some prime fishing.

Best of luck in your endeavors!  TT^
There have been a few weigh-in's up around the IBSP area this past week.  I got a nice one on clams while fishing an area that was loaded with clamshells.  There was also a report of one caught on live eels.

Any of you guys fish spooks from shore
for the striped ones and Blues?
I fish them a lot for bass and have caught
musky in the lehigh on fire tiger and sucker
 colored weighted 5 1/2" spooks.
Just today painted up a black /purple one
and a white with red head. They are doing the test swim Friday also.

I will fish any lures I can get my hands on...if they are topwater all the better!

Nothing beats a fish exploding on a topwater plug...even a searobin ::)!
