What is crazier is this:
Per Jim Hutchinson, Managing Director at the RFA; Connecticut anglers began their license/registry at around 10.00 for residents. Jim said a proposal sits before the CT state officials to raise that fee to 30.00
Yikes! We all need to pay attention to this issue. Even if the state of nj begins at 10 bucks, it could very soon go to 20,30 or even 60.00 per resident like California pays. I heard Calif. anglers pay $60.00 and out of staters pay annually around $150.00
What's more is that the state of NY implemented such a low fee for the lifetime license (I think its $150.00) hoping that we all buy that license. Sounds like a great deal but the RFA found out that the lifetime license money is redirected to state general funds not attached to fish and wildlife concerns. Its their way of tapping each one of us. But, the RFA said that he annuall license fees goes to the fish and wilflife departments.
This is one big shell game. under which shell is the money
