Sea Hawk bottomfishing 9/23
« on: September 23, 2009, 03:07:42 PM »
Sailed with a light crowd today and again had very good porgy fishing.  Some had their limit, another had 40, and a few seemed to struggle a bit but still filled their coolers.
3lb Sea Bass took the pool and there were some others in the mix.  Had a bonita as well.

Had a very good bite going on and suddenly it just shut down.  Low and behold we saw a large shark swimming about 50 yards away.

We are sailing open for bluefish/striped bass this Friday.  Chartered on Saturday and Sunday.  Will be back out for open bottom fishing on Tuesday.
Please check out our website for updates and our calendar for dates we are chartered.

We saw a fin off Keansburg pier today, wasn't quite sure if shark or dolphin.
Good things come to those who bait

Builds and repairs rods if needed
