Sandy Hook
« on: September 25, 2009, 10:09:05 PM »
Fished Sandy hook at the top of high tide from Fishermans beach to the Nude beach. Not a fish to be seen. Wind was blowin right down the beach I figured bait would be tight to the shore with the wind blowin like it was, but the bait was a no show also.  I'll give it another try in the morning.  thud

There have been a couple not many keeper stripers in cape may but guys are keeping closed mouthed about where there catcing them i would suspect Poverty beach or Hereford inlet. I have seen Tog being caught from the canal jetty at Higbees beach and i caught some small blues 1 to 3lbs from Higbees on mullet on mullet rigs and small hopkins.

Well tried the Hook again this morning, it was the same story as yesterday.  The only differance was the wind it was blowin 10-15 right up the beach and for the afternoon tide it was 15-20 blowin straight in my face.  Needless to say no fish to be had again.  Just have to wait for next weekend.
