IBSP 10 25 09 Fishing and Beach Conditions Report
« on: October 25, 2009, 02:21:15 PM »
Made a short trip to the park this morning armed with bunker, clams and mullet.
The beach is slowly getting better.  The sand up near the dunes is still very soft and deep.  But the beach is starting to get it's "figure" back and the water isn't coming up quite as high, but it's still close at high tide.
Water was churned up, a bit brown and crashing hard today. we were there on the incoming with a WNW wind.
We got 1 skate and saw 3 other skates caught.  Other than that, didn't see anything, despite the reports from the shops of bass on clams.  Grumpy's did have a few weigh-ins written down by 10AM.
Be careful out there if your driving on.  it's getting better, but very slowly.  At high tide entering A7, if you're not careful, you'll end up in the drink.

Good shot Chris.  My 2 buddies went out today and hit Gillikin's for the skunk.

When I saw the skate come to the surface, I said "At least we didn't get the skunk".

I seem to be either a day late or a day early every time for the bass bite.  I'm thinking that means I need to be there every day.  Who needs to work and pay bills? nts

Nice try Chris, it will take a while to build the beach back up to the levels prior to the storm.  There is a lot of erosion that took place.

We went apple picking today with the family so no fishing at all this weekend.  The only day that looks good is Monday and again I will be land locked.   :P

Happy Catching
