Hi All,

Well the weekly trip with my Uncle was a good one we did not get skunked again.  Plus this time we had another fisherman along 10 year old Sean.  Sean is my Uncle's grandson and new to surf fishing.  We had him out on the beach pre sun up and the weather looked iffy.  We loaded the hooks with some nice Grumpy clams and cast out.  The water was not to bad, a little cloudy and sandy with some nice breakers.  The tide was incoming so everything looked good.  About 15 min's go by and my pole goes nuts, Bass On, I made sure he was hooked and passed the pole over to Sean.  He did really well with the 10 footer and landed a nice bass just shy of legal limit but it was his first bass and I am sure he will never forget it.

As for the rest of us nada.  Oh well...We decided to move up the beach a little and try our luck at A23 area where I caught a skate.  All fish were released to fight another day.

The beach conditions were getting better but you still have to be careful at high tide as there are some pretty good cuts with water filling them.  The sand is still soft as the rain and the extremely high tides that were created by the full moon have left the driving not for the faint of heart.  If you do go and decide to fish around A 18 to A 11 make sure to either get out before high tide or make plans to wait till the tide goes out because you are not getting by unless you ride up onto the dunes.  Not a good move.

You will have to wait for the picture because I forgot my camera and phone this morning.  Luckily Sean had his phone and I took a picture of him and his bass.  Good going Sean... clp clp clp

Happy Catching

Paul
