Broke the inlet at noon with a crew of 3 buddies for an afternoon shot at the bass. Flat calm seas and we were at the spot quickly. Had a small blue hit the first rig before it was even set. Then a slow pick of mixed blues and bass but the fishing got better as the wind came on hard out of the south. Ended up with 3 keeper bass, 6 short bass and 6 blues. All of the fish were caught on tube umbrella rigs. Bumpy ride home but a nice afternoon on the water. Water temp was 56 degrees and loaded with bait - fish were full of sand eels. God bless america and God bless our troops!
