Got out to the hook around 1230 and had light bird action by the candle sticks and started the day jigging. Had a keeper right away on an ava 007 with yellow tail. After that could not get them to bite the jig even though we could see them. Did get some big demons though. We were drifting a few clams also and caught a 36" bass that way. after the tide died we switched to trolling wire and umbrella w/ tubes which put another 5 fish on the boat. Soon after that right when the tide started the outgoing birds came out of no where and they were all over the horizon. fish all over the top and the ff was lit up top to bottom. So light idiots we want to jig again and we only could get a couple of shorts. Then it all kinda faded away with the sun. We then anchored up and clammed in 4 different spots with a heavy chum slick going but only produced one more keeper. the current was ripping which could have been the cause but no big deal. Another beautiful day on the water. water like glass the entire time. 5 fish in the box and a bunch returned for next time.
