Surf Pole Car Top Carrier
« on: June 20, 2007, 10:46:24 AM »
I have a 10' surf one piece surf rod.  I've searched the web for a simple carrier for my sedan to transport.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to find holders that attach to the rain gutters?

go to Cabelas, they have a few different types.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

It is amazing I just spent about an hour looking for a gutter mount rod carrier and nada.  If you had roof racks ther are a ton of styles to choose from but just something that clamps to a gutter is not around any more.  I guess you might have to go and purchase a roof rack system at one of the auto stores and use that ie; Pep Boys, Sears auto, etc.

Wow times have changed.  I guess because of the cleaner lines of cars now a days?

Wow thats long...

The carriers are not that heavy that the adapter should work just fine I think they aree rated at 500 lbs or 300 lbs either way you should be fine.
