Sand eels are back in the surf !

Hit the surf this afternoon in N. ocean cty and fished till dark. Threw metal/teaser but as I walked on the sand bar I knew there would be action as the bait is back. Sandeels were scurrying around and I was again snagging them on my lures. The surf was still rough but getting better. Oh yeah, 4 bass to 27" with 3 taken on a yellow feathered teaser.  ;D

Hit the beach at first light and bass were everywhere but cast after cast and no hits. Hung around, kept casting. seemed like forever then finally fish on ! that first bite, then another.Boy were they fussy today.Wound up with 6 to 27"+. Quit around 9. Surf was rough but today's west wind should knock it down a little. Get out there. Should be good thru the weekend  ;D

Out early this morning with Chris. Beautiful morning and fish too! Hit the usual spots and had to be patient as the tide came in so did the bass. Funny kind of bite today. Let me just say bass for dinner tonight. Get out there while the weather's nice. ;D

Fished this week on Tuesday & Wednesday morning. Rough ocean and dirty. No action for me.  WEd. the .Sand eels were back on the beach but the bass stayed outside the outer bar. Fish could be seen but they didn't come within reach while I was there. Winds going west by Friday should improve our chances. ;D
