Reel Class SPRING Bass
« on: January 04, 2010, 10:20:27 AM »
Yep its blowing 40+, temps are under 20, and its NASTY outside -- but its not too early to start thinking about spring bass fishing which is right around the corner!!

We should be in the water in April, and we will start by doing a mix of bottom fishing and maybe a little flounder fishing, but by 5/1, we will be targeting bass until summer. For the most part, we will be jigging from late April through the month of May mixing in some clamming and possibly a little trolling (as always only when necessary!!). By the time the bunker show, we will be livelining, chunking, and plugging for the fish.

Spring fish are larger, its your best shot at a personal best or real wall-hanger.

Even the jig fish are larger compared to our fall fish as our biggest last spring was 30# on a diamond jig!! If plugging is your game - big swimming and popping plugs produce well; we had fish to 36# last year on plugs!! And if you drool over feeling the take of a monster bass slam a bunker; our best fish on the boat last year, on live bunker was 43#, followed by many more in the 35-40# range. Overall, we had a staggering 37 fish over 30# on the boat in 09' - it was a great year for EVERYONE and now is the time to book your trip while there are dates available!!

Give me a call, shoot me an email to secure a date while YOU have time and you can have something to look forward to through the remainder of the winter!!!
