Tues April 6th, 2010 Raritan bay report
« on: April 07, 2010, 08:23:22 AM »
Pulled out of Keyport with Cashin and Massbaster at 6pm. The tide was outgoing with about 3 1/2 hours left to dead low. The bad thing is the wind was blowing the tide back in so the water was still. We anchored in the same spot as yesterday where we did well.  I had a couple of hits but that was it. We made a move up the Raritan  past the train bridge and had no luck. >:(        We moved one more time and No Stripers around again.  We packed it in around 11pm. I will not be out again till Friday.  Good luck t^

I believe the incoming wind had a big effect on the bite and was creating a low pressure system that effects the swim bladders of Stripers and they tend to be less active and lay low during times of low pressure.
24 hours prior the wind blowing out and we did just fine with the Stripers.

Great effort Eddie. Get em next time. The wind could have pushed them to the other side.  TT^

Edddie Stripers are hard to Figure out.

But I do know they are repeaters if you get my drift  ;)

A week from today NY waters open up.I would start fishing that side as soon as it opens.
