Raritan Bay Stripers Pepe Le Pew 4/7
« on: April 07, 2010, 06:37:41 PM »
out of Sayreville this morning with John at 7:30 and fishing vicinity of the 1 can Keyport by 8,Bay very calm this morning, held this area for a good hour and a half chumming heavy, not one touch, moved to our previous spot where we had got a few last week and nothing, wind started howling with the incoming and it was wind against the tide, lines and boat all over the place, tried NY side even worse.eventually tried a few spots back bay but same results.I did manage to get the first skate of the year, but not taking credit, had it foul hooked.we got the first official Skunk of the year for the boat.gave up and headed in around 2,still nice to get out on a beautiful day.will give it a rest for a few days and try again early next week, unless I get the urge before then.  ;D     Kez
