The Mailbox Post
« on: April 10, 2010, 10:29:53 AM »
Last Saturday (4/3), my wife asked me to re-paint the mailbox post. So off to Lowes and I purchase a quart of paint. Well everyone is comming to Easter Dinner at my house, so 've got some other things to do for the rest of the day.

Well, it's a week later and so far I've :
Changed the oil, filter, plugs, powerhead  anodes, trim tab anode, handlebar anode, anodes on the Bennet trim tabs, regreased the prop shaft , hit the lower unit with a coat of paint, and fired her up to check for leaks.

Then I sewed new isenglass side panels, pulled up the fuel cell deck lid, removed the old cruddy caulk, and resealed it, changed corroded connectors to the fuel gauge, washed and started waxing the boat until I ran out of wax, cleaned the garage to make for better access to my boating and fishing gear. Now off to get more wax and a few other items, and then we have the NJSWF.COM Banquet tonite.

I will paint the mailbox post on Sunday, I just did'nt want the Mailman to get paint on his uniform!  ;D   <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

It's Sunday, you should take a break... You'll kill yourself working that hard .... besides... what happened to equality... why does chivalry always take over when paint is involved?  :headscra:
