Made another opening day of trout season...usual meeting at the Bridgewater Diner for eggs and scrapple with my twin brother, an old boyhood friend and the assorted old timers who have been doing this for over 35 years.
Went to our usual SB spot where the water was a bit high, but clear....catching not fishing for the first hour or so.....had my limit in less than a half hour.....caught and released quite a few...some on bait...some on a big wooly bugger nymph and the last few on my ultra light with a mepps.
Finding that wading as I approach 70 is not as easy as it was in my "youth", but beats the alternative!
