Had the Shepelsky charter out for the first trip of the year. Got off to a late start today at 9:00 and headed right for one of my early season spots and started cracking shells all around. Started off waiting about an hour for the first runoff and was very frustrating watching the bass swim on by my sonar without a hit. Then the moment we were waiting for as all hell broke loose and we had 3 hours of constant fish on with multiple hook ups not uncommon. 11 yr old Dylon Shepelsky put everyone to shame, outfishing his father David and friend Serge by about a 3 to 1 margin!!!!  Left them biting at 12:30 and headed to the barn with 10 keepers from 28" to 34 inches and 14.5 lbs. Water temp 52 degrees and slightly murky on an outgoing tide. WE RELEASED OVER 15 FISH TODAY AS WELL and caught one tagged Striped Bass, which was released unharmed.
All in all, a great day on the water!

WTG Capt Carl. I believe the littoral society used to give you a hat for a tag return.  t^
