Sun April 18th Report
« on: April 19, 2010, 07:46:01 AM »
Met Tom (aka The Broken one) in Keyport at 6:30 am.

Lou arrived about 10 minutes later & we pushed off.

Capt Lou went right back to the same area as we fished the day before.Lou looked around & found the marks on the Fish Finder that he was looking for.Lou says lines in.The 3 of us started jigging away & I missed 2 bumps right away but the 3rd hit that I got I set the hook on the Bass. The drift we had was not the drift we needed but we still picked away.

Lou now says Guys let's wait & jig them later once we have a better drift.

Lou says Art start getting the clams ready.

Lou makes a move & sets up on the anchor even though we had wind aginst tide.We started a slick & within minutes we were hooked up.We clammed for a few hrs & caught Bass.Once the tide was in our favor Capt Lou pulled the anchor & we starting jigging them again.Tom was on fire once I gave him A gumby Gold Shad   ;D

At 11 am Lou says let's go back in & pick up Matt & we will come back out.

We get to the marina & Lou said I will be right back.Lou arrived 10 minutes later & started the boat but only 1 engine was running.Long story short we never made it back out because Lou had a problem with the other engine.

Even though the Trip was short & sweet we still caught & had a Blast.

3 Bass were kept & the rest were released.

Sorry no pics we were just to busy catching.

Tom thanks for the Grapes  rofla
