Bunker?
« on: April 19, 2010, 09:15:35 PM »
A lot of terrific striper catches have been reported over the past week or so! t^

Have most of these fish been eating bunker?  What bait have you been finding in their bellies?

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

All the bass caught yesterday by my crew were empty.  But I've got to say the lone bunker we had lasted less than 30 seconds in the water.  Been marking them in the shallower water on the outside and in the SH and shrewsbury but not in intense concentration.  A couple of the seasoned guys have been netting.

One of the fish I had last week had (2) ten inch bunker in it and a handful of shrimp. It was a gready fish - guess that is why it ended up on the filet table.

We've been chumming Clams heavy, so most have had clams in the bellies. I had one last week with a half digested bunker, some small crabs!!!!
