Had Susan and Gang Back this spring for their yearly trip on The Fish Monger.
Opted for the Superb Striper Jigging... Headed up to the grounds and looked around for some life . No Birds But after a few minutes the screen lit up!!!
Put the boat on the drift and it was game 2 and 3 on with others following the jigs to the top...
Landed 10 keepers on the first drift alone.... We kept 7 of the smaller keepers and let a few of the nice ones along with a couple shorts swim free.
Rode around and when we stopped on readings again the rods cont to bend with nice bass... Boxed up 3 more keepers for a limit and went to release mode throwing some more back until everybody had there fill of bass.
Went and anchored up to try for some blackfish... Not much life inshore but we had a few bites on each spot... Had a couple of keepers, some shorts... Couple of keeper cod and some shorts, a Ling and a BIG Winter flounder to round out the mixed bag!!!
By days we had a nice load of keeper Stripers with everyone taking home a Limit and releasing the rest for another day, 2 blackfish, 2 keeper cod,a ling and winter flounder.
As always it was a Pleasure to have Susan and crew aboard!!! It was a nice fun filled day on the water with some nice fish!!!
