Phyllis Ann 5/12/10
« on: May 12, 2010, 09:36:28 PM »
Got out with Rod today for a late afternoon back bay trip.  The weather was nasty with fog, a light drizzle and a cold east wind blowing.  But, as Rod says, "We got the boat for it."   Maybe so, but today I was wishing we had the mittens for it too! ;D

Our plan was to hit a number of spots and just throw artificials all day.  We were marking fish here and there with no bites.  Then Rod moved us out to a little deeper water where we got into some decent size choppers, which were a blast on the light rods we were using!

After that action, we motored around some more hoping to find some of those fish with stripes on them.  Rod cruised the flats and we finally connected with a couple of stripers up to 30".  Both released.   ;)

Wish it was a bit warmer (and drier) out there today, but we still had a lot of fun.  And Rod did a great job of putting us on some fish today! t^

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.
