Pilot - Raritan Bay 5/12 evening
« on: May 13, 2010, 08:43:34 AM »
Suprisingly good conditions launching at 5:30 last evening.  Thought we'd be in for a good night.  Water was flat coming out of the Shrews and into SH bay.  Turned the corner at the tip and the swells told us to stay inside.  Fish were stacked in the Reach from the 1-11A.  Had no bait and planned on jig/troll.  Incoming and NE made it a little speedy for the troll with the shads.  Worked the Chappel Hill with stacked fished there too!  Nothing going on the shads.  Switched over to stretches.  Nothing doing!   Water temps a little cool 49.   Fish had lock jaw.  Headed up the Reach with same results.  Looked for them up near Keansburg.  Same result.

Take the good with the bad!  Skunk and I got the Skunk.

Till next time.
