Raritan Bay 6/11
« on: June 11, 2010, 08:07:12 PM »
out of Sayreville this morning with John and Bob who is  still visiting here from Florida.had a 1/2 bushel of clams and was able to snag about a dozen bunker in the river.headed to what has been our Bass hot spot the last few previous outings in front of the Chapel Hill Channel, set up clamming and chunking, not much action, was able to get a Fluke that took a clam that was just under the 18 inch mark.got into a hot dog fish bite and also I had my usual success with the elusive skate.stayed committed here until late morning and pulled anchor and tried for the flatties using bunker strips and we had a little bit of squid,Bob did manage to get a short but really no action.moved to the 1 can Keyport and I was able to put one in the box at 19 inches, plus a few Blues were caught, but really no bite, tried the 3 can Keyport and also the Triangle area with no success.headed in around 3,great to get out after being away.   Kez
