Chartering for tournaments
« on: June 14, 2010, 08:55:46 AM »
I noticed that a lot of people book charters to fish tournaments. What's usually the deal if you place in the money? Does everyone split evenly? Does  the capt get an even share? Does the guy who caught the winning fish get it all?

Not that I'm a tournament guy, but I'm just curious.

It all depends on what arrangement you make with the Capt and your group.

I do tournaments for either a set daily fee, or ,y normal fee plus part of any purse won. Also the Tournament Fee/Calcutta should be worked out with your group and the Capt.

As far as expenses it is normally split evenly among those in your party, as is the prize money.

I would get all this worked out prior to the tournament, as I have seen friendships break apart over misunderstandings
