Manasquan Inlet
« on: July 05, 2007, 03:37:31 PM »
Anyone know how the Fluking is going near the Manasquan Inlet ? Or if anyone knows if I can rent a boat in the Manasquan river ? I have to look for a new spot to fish for fluke for myself because my spot at sandy hook is now restricted due to the birds nesting. Any suggestions on fishing off the surf for fluke as of late will definitly help  TT^

Surprisingly no one rents boats in the Manasquan River like they do in the Shark River.  I'm not sure why.  Maybe because the price of waterfront real estate is so high on the Manasquan that one needs more of an income then just renting boats.

I see people pulling up fluke from the wall in Pt Beach on the south side and from Manasquan on the north side.  Hope this helps.

Hi fishon,

The inlet runs east to west with Manasquan on the north side and Pt. Pleasant on the south side.  In this case the answer is yes they are catching fish off both walls of the inlet.

I hope this helps.

Happy Catching
