Spearfish Fluke7-5
« on: July 06, 2010, 01:06:45 PM »
Took the kids out for a couple hours of fluking.  Only the second time out for my daughter, and no keepers last time.  She got the keepers this time.  We started out with mostly shorts then my son boxed 2 and I got another.  Amber was getting bored and I told her to hang in there she would get hers.  Soon after her rod is doubled over and we help her bring a 3.5# to the net.  As soon as I bait her back up and she drops it back it hits another one in the head.  This tima a 6# and she was very excited.  We went back through the area a couple times, but no more keepers, and I didn't want to burn her out so we headed in.  5 keepers, a couple small blues, and we saw a big sea turtle.

Nice report, great pics! I didn't even know sea turtles existed here...t^
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

I trailer, but I usually go from Edison and head out the Raritan to the bay.
