On 7/31 I had the father and son team of Bob Sr and Bob Jr out for an ocean/bay combo trip. Jr is a big Jr lol. He a starting DT on a collage football team. The 2 anglers had a fair pick of seabass but we had to cover a lot of ground and never really found the keeper action I was looking for. After boxing 20 seabass they enjoyed a real nice blackfish bite with fish up to 22" and 6.5 lbs. Plenty of fish released. With their toggie limits on ice a stop in the bay produced very good short fluke action. A great day with some great guys. Today it was a 3 man all day wreck trip with Mike,Rob and Clyde. The anglers enjoyed very calm seas and a good bite with quality seabass. Most keepers today were 13.5" to 15" and did not need to be measured. No problem today with the seabass spawning as they boxed 55 of them before 2pm. They also added one ling ,one porgy, and one 20" blackfish to the cooler. Only 1 short fluke today near the structure.
