Pulled out of Keyport solo around 5:45pm for a short local trip. The tide was almost dead low but the s,west wind was blowing hard and giving me a .7 to 1 mph drift. I fished the Keyport flats in 11 to 15' of water, I had 1 bucktail and teaser pole setup and a dragging rig setup with a sinker and hook and skirt with a stinger hook. I used frozen spearing as bait that Irish Ayes Joe netted on a previous trip. I caught around 25 shorts and a cocktail blue, all released and was back at the dock by 7:45. The bait dragging rig outfished the bucktail teaser rig 4 to 1. I just had to get out on the water for a couple hours and did not expect to catch any keepers in that area. Thats plenty of fish for 2 hours work alone.
Good Luck!
