some big boys
« on: July 08, 2007, 11:44:35 PM »
we had a family day on the boat today. ran out to the LE reef but it had gotten snotty and all but captain mike and I could enjoy it so we headed in and anchored just outside the tuckerton canal and did some crabbing.

just before we left the reef capt mike looks at me and it was like I could read his mind...I looked at the fishfinders and there were sea bass all over the structure. family was ready to mutiny so we headed inside lol :D

on the way out we were running around 30 knots and suddenly I hear a roar off the stern. turned my head to see a really nice fishing boat smashing through the chop, it was amazing! boat left the ocean a few times but when it came back down it looked so smooth. he had to be doing 45 knots.
noticed it was a fleet of big boys so grabbed the camera for a few shots of the next boat in the lineup.

If you can afford one of those, you can afford the fuel to go with it.

at the dock the other day I was standing there admiring a 35' scarab when a brand new vette rolls up. it was the owner of the boat. he paid 240k for a freakin center console. 3 yamaha 250's eat 38 gallons of fuel per hour running close to 70 knots.   an incredible tournament boat but for that kinda money i'd go for a used fishing yacht. t^

the boat in pictures above looked to be one of 5 heading out the inlet. was unable to get the others since they hooked to the south. it was a sight to see though seeing them running hard and looking smooth.

just give me 6 lucky numbers... I will be there.  I wouldn't want a huge yacht, but def. a large, fast, fish demon like that.

Luna Sea....your chances of winning go down as the price goes up. Just the way the odds work!  But you have to be in it to win it.

I agree, but if I spend $20 every drawing, even when its low, it will cost me a fortune.  I rather wait until its over $100 million, then for those few drawings that it stays over the figure, I throw in twice as much each time.
