After a Brief break due to weather we were excited for better conditions and to get back out fluking. Mike MBoy, Tony Triggs, Bob Bates, Matt Avid, Cool Hand Al and Ralphy rounded out todays All Star crew.
Was Hoping that the east wind would shake some more life into the fluke fishing. Was happy to read bait everywhere and the water was cleaner today then before the blow in the area we been fishin.
Despite the swell we got set up and right away we had a couple Keepers and some shorts right away... Fish bit a Little funny at first but then they started to chew a bit... had a nice pick of a couple of keepers a drift.
Then the biguns came out to play.... went on a couple drifts in a row boating multiple 5-8lb fish!!!
Tony had the hot hand and his limit to 8lbs by 1015 am.
Action slowed a bit Kept picking away at nice keepers.
South Breeze came on in the afternoon and the fish started to chew again The Guys topped of their limit with some more big fluke up to the Matt Avid 9 lb 4oz Beauty which was the big fish of the day!!!
Best day of the year for us so far... Numbers and size!!! Big Fish was 9 lbs 4 oz, Next was 8lb 2oz, two over 7 lbs, one over 6lbs, two more over 5lbs and Six over 4lbs!!!!
Congrats to Matt on his beauty over 9lbs... Tony triggs was the vacum cleaner under the boat and was high hook with 11 To 8 lbs( Only taking his limit) Al and Bob Came on strong for his late limit. Mike and Ralphy put a few nice ones in the Box... even i got to catch a couple
By days between everyone we caught over 40 Keeper Fluke up tp 9lbs... with everyone taking home a legal limit... Lots of quality fish!!!
