Calm seas, light breezes, sunshine made for a great day for fishing for our favorite flatfish. Tom and I had the Roosters out to Flynns Knoll for our first drift this morning with an outgoing tide. Picking many shorts in the area Tom managed one keeper Fluke at 23½" by the candlesticks just before slack tide. The tide was late on the incoming as we tried #13 Sandy Hook Channel, then # 7 and back to the knoll. When the tide did start it was as if someone threw a switch as not even a Sea Robin was to be caught. There were no Bluefish caught and no other unusual fish. Back to the harbor at around noon. Pete
