The New Jersey Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance will be hosting a "Sunset Buffet Cruise" on Friday, September 24th from 7 to 10 pm. The event will take place aboard the Starfish, located at 42nd Street and the Bay in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. The Starfish, operated by Captain Bob Rush, is a 70 foot long, 30 foot wide catamaran, specifically designed for a smooth and stable ride. Because the vessel is so stable in the water, it is ideal for a party cruise.

Admission is $30 per person and includes a three hour cruise, a catered buffet, and an upper deck dance floor with DJ entertainment. There is a full cash bar onboard the boat with drink specials offered throughout the cruise.

Captain Rush of the Starfish has been kind enough to donate the boat and his services for this special event. Proceeds from the cruise will go to the New Jersey Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance, to further fight for the rights of New Jersey fishermen. In addition, RFA members and non-members alike will have the opportunity to meet board members of the state chapter to discuss fisheries management issues in a casual, social setting.

"I believe it is important to raise funds for the state chapter to continue to do the work of protecting the rights of New Jersey fishermen," said RFA-NJ Fundraising Committee Chairman Chris Peszka. "It is also and excellent way to unwind, relax and enjoy a cruise in late summer," he added.

Tickets can be purchased on the RFA - New Jersey website at www.rfanj.org.

The New Jersey Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance's mission is to safeguard the rights of saltwater anglers, protect marine, boat and tackle industry jobs and to ensure the long-term sustainability of our nation's fisheries.
