Looking for Blues 9/12
« on: September 13, 2010, 12:42:37 PM »
Tombo and I left KP around 7 looking for something to bite. Very few boats out; gray & overcast. Tide just starting to flood.
Trolled the reach channel edges with swimming plugs; did not have a knockdown. Looking for bird life, also minimal. Put up the canvas as the rain started, and did not let up.
Headed back after a few hours to find the tide too high to get under the bridge. Stupid bridge. Oh well, "tide up" at the Blue Rock and wait.... What?- FREE Barbeque on the deck in the rain? Perfect timing; yep we're available, we'll bring our HUGE APPETITES. Had some sausages, hotdogs, burgers, chicken, you name it. We ran into friends Bruce & Linda, had a couple G&Ts, watched some football, and ducked my wife for a few hours...

GO BLUE, and Thanks Bill for the delicious FREE FOOD. It hit the spot (repeatedly.)
