Headed down to the boat at Atlantic Highlands this morning around 9ish. This is late for me as i like to be out there niceeee and early but i had some guys coming from northern Jersey. With a little help from my buddy at the bait shop he found out that the Black Sea Bass season was extended until Oct. 1. I met a few guys from work and we were off. Wrapped around the hook and was greeted with beautiful waters which made for a nice ride to the rocky bottoms. We arrived, first line down and BANG, fish on. Unfortunately it was a great looking 22" Fluke which we had to throw back. After a great day of fishing we ended with 5 Porgies, 6 Black Sea Bass (with one nice fat 17") and what would have been 3 keeper fluke that were thrown back
All on clams. All in All a great day on the water and an amazingly smooth ride in.
A huge thank you to Nick (Luna Sea 4)for all of the advice and help you gave me leading up to this trip.
Good Luck out there
-Jim
