Emergency kill switch

1996 trophy 5.7 mercrusier.  Replaced kill switch with new one still not working any hints to problem

I'll assume its the kill switch thats not working. As mentioned, all a kill switch does is short out the ignition.
You will need to start tracing some wires. The same color wires will terminate somewhere else, usually at the motor. Might be black with a yellow tracer
