Just got back from fishing with me good friend Capt Jim MacFarland our of Green Harbor Mass. On board was a great crew my Matt, Capt Mike and his son Matt, Matt Murphy and Jimm "Boo Boo" Palaban.
We were greated with great weather and calm seas. Day started out trolling for Blue Fin. Had 3 lookers on the spread before a hit, young Matt Adams was fisrt up and battled a 80 lb Blue Fin into the boat his first. Went back on the troll and had another looker before a solid Hit, my Matt battled another 80-90 lb tuna to the boat only to have it break off a mila second before the gaff. Tuna bite died down and we headed to bommom fishing.
Spent the rest of the day bailing in Market sized Cod, Haddock and Polloch to 20 lbs, plus a frew Red Fish.
Great dtime with a great crew, Capt Jim and Mate Bob were on the top of their game and were the icing on the cake.
Highlight of the shore activities was dinner at Haddad's in MMarchfield, best seafood I have had in a long time and has been a 30 year tradition for me.
Boo Boo and Matt got tired of waiting for Capt Carl to take them fishing and a fantastc time with us and are now part of the annual trek.
