Do bass feed on shad in the surf?
Is it worth keeping some shad when they're around for bait? live, chunked, ????

If its fresh which i know it is strips will work just fine.  I like strips over chunks, why not sure i always did it that way.

Happy Catching

So the follow-up question...
If the shad are breaking the surface, is that them feeding on bait, or an indication something else, i.e. bass, are chasing them?

If they are just bulging the surface and maybe flitting here and there, there may not be anything under them.  But, if they are coming half out of the water, several at a time, there's a good chance something is chomping on them! ;D
