Salmon River Oct 2 2010 fish at the hatchery
« on: October 04, 2010, 06:54:38 AM »
Here is a video from up at the hatchery of some fish trying to jump the gate. I thought it was cool to watch the fish and just wanted to share.

Wow, that was a cool video. Great to see the salmon trying to move up the falls. Makes one really want to help preserve what should be an on going event. Wish it could be seen in every stream and river.

it looks like most of them are denied by the top of the gate. Seems like they should slow the flow a little to let them get up. People's boats not sinking, walls not collapsing, and basements not flooding would be an addded bonus...

Nice video!

This is what it should look like. Most times the fish go up the ladder and not to this brook, but the high water screwed that up.
