Finally hit the blitz today...

Okay the time put in was well worth it.  Got to the beach around 1:30 and was the 3rd truck on the beach.  Talked to the other 2 guys and we noticed that there was bait fish right in front of us.  We grabbed our rods and right off the bat FISH ON.  I pulled the blue to the beach and once at my feet noticed he was spitting up 8" weakfish...Unbelievable.

Well when it was allover (blitz lasted about 1 1/2 hours) I brought 3 blues to the beach (2 slightly over 14# and one at 15.8) helped an elderly gent land 3 more and, well all I can say if you were not catching you did not have a hook at the end of your line.

Here is a picture of the 15#er just to give you an idea the cooler is 24" across so I would guess this one was 34".

Going out tomorrow again this time I will have my uncle with me hope the blitz is on time.

Rod there might os been a bass or 2 caught but for the most part it was all big blues.  It was a unique day out there today.  The blitz was one thing but to see a pod of dolphin hitting a school of what looked like bunker hard enough to where they were clearing the surface and a seal about 200 yards off shore diving and coming up with a good size blue and swallowing it ranks up there as way cool.

Back out there tomorrow.

Thanks Jay, that was the middle one caught the other were closer to 14#.  There were so many blues caught in an hours time it was fantastic.
