Ran an open boat trip last night for Bass, had Steve, Mike, Ed and Craig onboard. The boys are in from Alaska training at the Ohmset facility at NWS Earl.
Night was clear and calm and we had an outgoing, headed out around 630 p. Got to where I wanted to be and had some good reading, hooked the boys up with eels and away we went.
Dispite the good reads action was slow, had several runoffs before Mike Hooked into a nice fish. After a good battle we netted a 33" Bass.
Hung in the area and a few more run offs but no more takers. Made a move.
Got back into the river and was surprized to see no other boats. On our second drift Mike line took off a good fish was on, after a short battle the fish was lost.
After a couple more drifts of eels switch some of the guys over to Lures, first Drift Bam, Ed's gets slammed soon as it hits the water, he battles in a nice 29" Fish. A few more drifts with no more action and it was time to go in.
Guys had a blast and they were a pleasure to be with.
Dispite the good reads very slow action perhaps that big Shinny Full Moon worked her ways with the bite.
