Well the beautiful morning turned into a cloudy day with a brisk wind out of the south. There was not to much caught at all on Monday but there were a few so things are not completely dead out there.
If you like to fish Seaside Park or Midway Beach and you were out today you saw a few nice bass and blues caught but you had to work for them. IBSP had been a hit and miss as well. But Gillies has been the hot spot so far but who knows after this round of storms that is due to come through it is anyone's guess as to what to expect.
Most if not all bass were caught on bunker so if you are going to try make sure your favorite B&T has them as they are in short supply lately. Plus make sure they were not the frozen ones thawed out and put in with the fresh ones. Check the eyes if they are clear they are a good to go bunker. If the eyes are cloudy think twice.
It seems like this blow coming through might be over by Thursday so get your gear ready on Wednesday for the Thursday bite. Well, maybe for the weekend at least. Some of the sharpies are looking at Saturday to start picking away at the striped ones in the early evening. We'll see.
Happy Catching
