I know I would not want to be out in 7' seas in a small boat.  I consider anything smaller than 900' small.

But as far as the surf, the water is pretty dirty right now and it will take a couple of days to quiet down.  With that said I did see and hear os fish being caught in Seaside Park and Brick beach.  All blues, and all caught on metals.

Deadly dicks seemed like bait de jur today.  Plus one small note all were caught on rigs tied with teasers.  Nothing caught on the teasers but the metals without teasers did zip.  Go figure.

Happy Catching

4-7 will probably not be too comfortable.  However, I would show up and talk to the captain when you get there.  The seas may be less than what is forecast.

GOOD LUCK    t^
Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Sorry I'm late chiming in but when you have wind coming from the west the ocean will be fishable closer to the beach. You won't see 4-7s until you get more than a mile off of the beach. It will get progressively worse the furth you go out. When the boats are fishing for the bass it will be maybe 1-3s.
