Phyllis Ann 11-13-10
« on: November 13, 2010, 04:54:44 PM »
Another shot at them this morning, with Jeff and My Father.  All I wanted was to get these guys a fish.. especially my Father since he doesn't get out much.

Pulled my Minnow Pen and found 11 of the 12 spot I put in there last weekend still alive and kicking.

Hit the inlet with a FLEET of boats..  a couple drift Dad got his first striper.  just a small one but a striper..  a few more drifts Dad boats another striper.. just under the 28"

The bite dies down around 10:Am.  Jumped around the bay with no luck.  back to the inlet around Noon..  Big waves and high seas.  a dozen more drifts. day hooks up with a Pole Bender Reel Screamer..  only to have the hook pull after about a minute..

Yes Jeff was fishing...but the old man out fished him..  Years of Experience Dad would say ;D..
I spent most of the day in the cabin, keeping away from the fleet and the Rollers just trying to find some fish ;D

All in all I'm happy Dad caught fish.  Next time for Jeff t^

Some Video of the conditions..

Nice job Rod and family.  Right where you were I saw a 27' Century with twin engines launch and everything was out of the water.  It came down and the passenger slammed to the deck.  Not good.

Good one Rod. My dad and brother, nephew and niece were out but didn't like the looks of the inlet - so they fished the bay - NADA!
I FISH therefore I am.
