Islander 11/16/2010
« on: November 17, 2010, 06:21:59 AM »
On the way out saw some birds so Mike stopped. One keeper taken. It was a quick stop since it wasn't what we were out for.  Next stop was over a wreck. Not so good so headed for the second. A little better but still nothing exciting. Third was the best. Everyone was either pulling sea bass or tog over the rail. I ended up with 2 bass to take home and many shorts went back. Dog fish were being caught too. Great job Capt Mike and his crew!!

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Pole worked out fine. I would go 1 ft longer with a heavier butt though. More leverage. This is why I went cheap. Now I have a better idea what would work better for me. Thanks for your help!!
